Swimming hard without a compass = Going very far to nowhere

This took me a bloody long time to understand. I’ll spare you the sob backstory about how life was dreary and I felt aimless and all that. Here’s the bottomline: If you feel aimless in life, without purpose, without direction, keep reading.

The short version is this:

  1. Find out what you actually want for yourself.
  2. Write it down on paper. Physical paper.
  3. Make a plan for it WITH DATES ATTACHED. A goal without a date is a dream.
  4. Work.
  5. Evaluate > tweak > progress. Don’t do things that do not follow the plan.

The problem comes when you do step 4 without doing the rest. Swimming hard without a compass results in going very far to nowhere. Result? Drown.

Do steps 1-5.

The longer version:

Watch these, in sequence. This is a masterclass in setting goals, creating an action plan, giving you the needed motivation and vision to get your foot out the door, and the tools you need to create your own masterplan.

I won’t wish you good luck. I’ll send you off with a reminder:
