Edifier’s entire design philosophy revolves around one word – “respect”. Specifically, respect towards different people, respect towards different cultures, and even respect towards design itself. With this in mind, Edifier strives constantly to design speakers that are truly unique and which truly stand out.
Zhang WenDong, Edifier Founder says that designers can’t work in boring boxed-in places like in factories, as it limits imagination and closes the mind to unique design. Edifier’s design studio in Guangzhou is truly a designer’s haven. Facing the Jiu Jiang river, the massive 16,000 sqft studio with a 5m-high ceiling houses only 12 designers, giving them ample space to create beautiful designs. This, he says, is also a form of respect towards the designers as well.
